Today is the 15th of November 2025, the typhoon season starts around October time I think. I closed all doors and windows as instructed, went to sleep and missed the whole thing.

12 hours later this a picture from my 7 mile beach walk following the rains. 14 days later it's still paradise, swimming, meeting fantastic new people and long walks daily.

You should join me, I would love that, the UK is just 15-20 hours away, door to door.

The best months to come here are mid Sept to mid Nov, slightly cooler, minimal / no rain and lovely modern, clean, comfortable hotels, prices can be had for as little as £10 a night / £300 a month. Great quality fresh food is everywhere, you can eat out every day for less than £5 a day.

All the Vietnamese people I've met are so friendly, helpful and kind, the atmosphere here is just incredible, smiles everywhere I look, every day.

Don't let a toxic person or your group of toxic people around you dictate what you can or can't do in your life, they are evil losers that want you to be losers as well.
